It almost kind of feels gutturally unfair to look at the release date on this album and only seeing it pick back up in attention this late. There’s notes of synth pop, new wave, and all of the other trappings of the era RIK was composing this in, all given a unique spin through by being presented by themselves as instrumentals. The title track is probably my favorite out of the bunch, but the crossover of riffs and motifs between tracks makes this feel like such a complete passion project.
